2026 - Prague Is Feminist - Pro-Choice march for life Counter-Demonstration
Every spring, the ultraconservative Movement for Life marches from Prague Castle to Wenceslas Square. Last year, pro-choice protesters sat across the route, blocking the march. Around 30 people were arrested.

This year, the organizers adapted. Instead of a single march, they registered 22 separate processions, splitting into dozens of smaller groups on different routes through the city center - effectively occupying the entire Old Town.

The Prague City Council then denied the feminist counter-demonstration “Prague Is Feminist,” arguing there was no space available. A court overturned the ban just days before the event, ruling the decision unlawful.
